More Great Ideas...with Pictures

1. Go Big, or Go Home
When you are unsure of how to accessorize an certain spot, or what to hang on large wall...go big. Minimize the accessories, and choose one statement piece that will fill the space and draw attention to the area.

2. Repetition is Key
You are intimidated by an expansive wall space, or you love that iron piece but it is just too small. Buy two...or three!

3. Mix and Mingle
If you are looking for a way to integrate your new favorite color, or the newest color for spring... use painted furniture. You can buy new, or spray paint a flea market find. Painted furniture is becoming more and more popular, and is an easy way to add a POP to your family room. I love the speed and cost effectiveness of spray paint!

4. Texture is Everywhere
Have fun with your pillows and window treatments. Choose a fabric that has a great texture! Ruffles, boucle weave, beaded or ruched...mix it with a solid or another pattern of a different scale.

Okay, so it has been a while since I last updated my blog. And that is an understatement, I know! One of my resolutions this year is to keep up with it, learn more about it and make it the best that it can be.

I will leave you with a few of my favorite things...

Monograms - on pillows, charms, soap...etc. It has been around forever, and I believe it will never go out of style. It is a classic and sometimes modern way, depending on font and layout, to enhance and personalize your home.

Painted ceilings - whether a similar shade as your wall color, or an accent color...it has to be painted. Whoever invented the color 'ceiling white' was crazy in the head!

Leopard - when used in moderation this fun print can go anywhere, with anything!

Black-out Lining - Adds thickness and dimension to your drapes, plus the light/heat and cold blocking properties are awesome.

I will be back soon!
